Koon Seng Road Shophouses II

“A historic postcard for Katong, but a deeply personal canvas of memories for me.”
Today, this iconic row of pastel-hued 1920s Peranakan shophouses stands as a living bridge between the past and the present. Rich with traditional pintu pagar (saloon doors) and ornate majolica tiles, these walls represent a shared heritage shaped by generations of people from all backgrounds—while serving as the intimate backdrop to my own years living on this street, where personal memories intersect with a diverse community history.
