Inspired by surfers, the lineup is an area in the water just outside of the breaking waves. Here, surfers sit on their surfboards, looking out to the horizon and waiting for their turn to catch the waves. This painting Line Up depicts the continuous rhythm of the waves. There will always be a wave for us to catch, even if we missed a previous one. And we will never know how thrilling the next wave will be!
